For two years I had uncontrolled sleep apnea. I was stopping breathing 30 times an hour. I woke up 3 to 5 times a night and it could take me over 30 minutes to fall back asleep each time. I had morning headaches, constant brain fog, and I genuinely felt like I was the dumbest version of myself. I used to sit at my desk, stare at a screen, and 30 minutes would pass with nothing done.

The treatment of my sleep apnea helped, but it didn't fix everything. My REM sleep was still as low as 32 minutes. My deep sleep as low as 34 minutes. I was still exhausted, still underperforming. I had to research and build an entirely different approach using sleep science and experience.
When it clicked, everything changed. My REM now averages around 1 hour 30 and deep sleep around 1 hour 45. Now I wake up at 5am, run my coaching business before work, put in a full day as an NHS Sleep Scientist (STP), and still hit the gym with ease.
